Commerce Drive Cycle Track
Decatur, Georgia
Upon completion of the Decatur PATH Master Plan in December 2016, KAIZEN was hired by the PATH Foundation and the City of Decatur to implement an exclusive bicycle facility – a cycle track' on Commerce Drive from Trinity Place to Clairmont Road. Inserting the cycle track along Commerce Drive required a road diet, removing a lane of traffic while maintaining necessary turn lanes. Landscape medians and buffers were incorporated into the design along with existing materials and amenities to create a cohesive streetscape along the project.
